Postdoctoral Fellow
Daiane did a joint PhD in Immunology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais-UFMG in Brazil and at Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven- KuLeuven in Belgium. During her PhD, she studied the role of chemokines during Staphylococcus aureus infections. In 2020 she joined NYU as a postdoctoral fellow and is co-mentored by the Naik and Torres lab. Daiane is a Pew Latin American fellow and is currently studying how toxins produced by Staphylococcus aureus are associated with skin and soft tissue infections. In her free time, she loves to travel!
