Kody is an HHMI Gilliam Fellow and PhD candidate in the Immunology and Inflammation training program through Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. Originally from southeast Louisiana, Kody earned his Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi. There, he studied small non-coding RNAs in models of arthropod development. Kody’s interests lie in understanding immunity during early-life. In the lab, he is investigating neonatal immune responses to allergens and unraveling mechanisms of immune-stem cell crosstalk governing tissue development. In his spare time Kody enjoys spending time outdoors and hanging out with friends.
