We’re pleased to share that Daniel and Troy presented their research at the 2026 International Congress of Mucosal Immunology, bringing their work to an international audience of mucosal immunology researchers. Daniel presented “Cherry-PIC uncovers stem cell niche contribution to intestinal epithelia regionality,” while Troy presented “Epithelial plasticity programs and biomechanical dysregulation define perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease.”

We are proud to announce that Andreas is a 2026 Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund Fellow. This fellowship will support Andreas's efforts to understand how a key regulator of cellular stress responses influences tissue repair, inflammation, and age-associated dysfunction.

A new Medscape article explores the story behind how Yue's curiosity as a mother helped uncover new findings behind why eczema is so common in infants.

Shruti presented at the 6th Inflammatory Skin Disease Summit, where she delivered a talk on decoding mechanisms of skin inflammation. Her presentation highlighted exciting advances from Yue Xing’s innovative work on early life immunity.

The lab attended the annual retreat for the Precision Immunology Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (PrIISM) and Icahn Genomics Institute on November 21, 2025. Shruti moderated a panel on science advocacy, featuring: Dusan Bogunovic, cofounder of NY-CURES; Marilyn Ness, director of the upcoming film The Endless Frontier; and Susan Rosenthal, VP of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

We are proud to welcome Troy Anderson! Troy joined the lab in October as a Postdoctoral Fellow, supported by the training program in investigative gastroenterology and hepatology. His postdoctoral work will focus on examining the development and maintenance of fibrosis in inflammatory bowel disease.
